Background:
Lana began her career as a Site Engineer, then as a Construction Manager in two of the four biggest construction companies in Brazil. She has over seven years of experience in scheduling, planning, supervising, and managing the construction of high rise buildings and multi-building complexes. She was responsible for the construction of 3 residential complexes, comprising 1,690 apartment units. She was also a Construction Manager for a business tower and mall complex with 326 office spaces and 68 retail units. Lana completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering in Brazil and is now pursuing a Master of Science in Building Science at the University of Alberta.
Current Research:
Lana is currently involved in projects pertaining to energy efficiency in the Canadian housing market. Her research includes the evaluation of hygrothermal field testing of multi-functional wood fibre panels for residential buildings.
